This week’s theme: Reflection
I’ve posted this picture before, but I’m going to post it again because not only is it a reflection in my side mirror (on my old Ford Escape), but a reflection of how I spend 90 minutes of my day, everyday, waiting to either drop off kids, or pick up kids. I don’t really mind, it gives me a chance to listen to music and return to reality after being on the computer all day, and it’s also a chance to slow time down and study my children as they walk toward me. I wish I had thought ahead and took weekly pictures of them so you could see how much they’ve changed over the years. It’s both sad and exciting all at the same time. |

That looks like a bit of a traffic jam there. I suppose it could be worse but I must admit to being grateful that I (now) live in a place where I don’t need to drive again.
Very nice!
Thanks hubs, but we’ve discussed this. π
The kids could ride the bus….that would give you an extra 90 min per day. (Thats about 7.5 hours per week)
Well, that time includes the drive to the school, in the line (which is constantly moving as kids get in), driving a friend home (I take him home so the mom can work longer hours) and then home.
My boys go to different schools (it’ll be so nice when they’re at the same school next year!) so that accounts for all the traveling.
It’s not so bad really. And it goes fast. The traffic is pretty horrific at times, though.
90 minutes a day — wow, that would be hard for to to sit and wait in line that long. I’d have to bring a book or something. You havwe a good attitude about it, though, and it’s a neat photo.
I posted photos out of the archives, too, Karen. I think you chose a perfect photo for the theme. I remember those days when my calendar was more filled with my children’s activities than my own. I was constantly taking or picking up one of the kids for one activity or another. Hope you have a restful and blessed weekend, Karen.
