Saturday Photo Hunt – Breakfast

This week’s theme: Breakfast

Why yes, this is a BBQ grill, in our house. And the husband is cooking breakfast on it. And his nose is red because it’s about 30 degrees in our house. And if you look closely, you’ll see the blanket we have over the doorway (we sectioned off the house to try and keep it warmer) and the refrigerator door? Is open because all of our food spoiled and we were trying to cook it in an effort to at least eat some of it.

This was taken during an ice storm that buried us in January 2007 and left us without electricity for 11 days. In fact, I’ll post the entries from that time period shortly, if you’re interested.

That was an experience, let me tell you.

Saturday Photo Hunt – Reflection

This week’s theme: Reflection

I’ve posted this picture before, but I’m going to post it again because not only is it a reflection in my side mirror (on my old Ford Escape), but a reflection of how I spend 90 minutes of my day, everyday, waiting to either drop off kids, or pick up kids. I don’t really mind, it gives me a chance to listen to music and return to reality after being on the computer all day, and it’s also a chance to slow time down and study my children as they walk toward me. I wish I had thought ahead and took weekly pictures of them so you could see how much they’ve changed over the years. It’s both sad and exciting all at the same time.

Saturday Photo Hunt – Family

This week’s theme: Family

I tried. I really, honest to God tried, but I just couldn’t allow myself to post the original picture because my hair – good gravy – I look like a football player complete with broad shoulders and helmet hair. So, this is a more flattering picture of me. *grin* Now my guys, they look awesome!

Saturday Photo Hunt – Sad

This week’s theme: Sad

This is still one of my favorite shots of MK. He was about three in this picture. He’s sitting in the corner of the kitchen and pouting. He had one of the most angelic toddler faces I’ve ever seen.

Happy Birthday, Son!
