Twitter-esque

A blog entry – Twitter style.

The husband and I had lunch at a “trendy” restaurant. Even though we didn’t see any signs for a non-smoking section, we must have missed it because we ended up sitting in the smoking section (I’m assuming?)

Everyone at the table next to us (five guys) lit up all at once and I left feeling sick and wanting to pass out. Seriously, dudes, where is your courtesy?

To say I was a wee bit cranky would be putting it mildly.

  1. I thought Springfield had the no-smoking ordinance, too. But it turns out, restaurants can allow smoking if a certain percentage of their sales are alcohol sales.

Apparently, this place met the requirements. I seriously thought I was going to pass out. The husband said my eyes were glassy and I didn’t look too well. We paid our bill in a hurry and shot out of there before I got sick.

We have no intention of going there again.

  2. I’m so glad Greenville, SC, has a city no-smoking ordinance. Even a lot of the restaurants outside of city limits have started phasing out smoking sections. It makes dining so much nicer! 🙂

  3. Yeah, I’d be cranky, too. Actually, I’d be running out of the restaurant, hacking and coughing and trying to breathe. I’ve done that before and I’ll probably do that again sometime in my life.

Yep, I’m extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke. It’s annoying at times to be so sensitive, but I look at like this: my kids will NEVER be able to smoke without getting caught!
