Headless

We know where all the bodies are buried,” my sister’s friend snarled.

My sister gave me an evil smile over her shoulder.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” I said while trying to calm my pounding heart.

The Amazon (which is what I silently called my sister’s friend), held out her hands – six Barbie doll heads were nestled in her sweaty palms.

“You’re sick, do you know that?”

I shrugged. “Prove it.”

The Amazon nodded toward the window.

I looked.

Our chocolate Lab was digging – she buried her nose in the ground and tugged out a headless doll body.

“Stupid dog,” I muttered under my breath.

  1. Unique, imaginative and hilarious take on the prompt Karen ! I think secretly though we all said we loved Barbie and her minions, yet we wanted to bury her perfectness and have the dog use her head as a play toy too…BRAVO !!!
