Upcoming Blog Topics – In My Own Handwriting

I saw this on one of the blogs in my Google Reader (which I’m ADDICTED to!!!! I wish Google would STOP recommending blogs because I’ve bookmarked nearly all of the suggestions! Aargh!). But I don’t remember which blog, so my apologizes if this originated at your blog and I haven’t attributed you (leave me a comment if you know where!).

I thought this would be a fun thing to post once in a while. It’s a sample of my handwriting (WARNING! Have an aspirin nearby because it’s truly horrendous!) of blog topic ideas.

The notepad it’s on was actually given to us by a traveling real estate person (isn’t it sad that our housing economy is so low that agents have to resort to door-to-door advertising?!), so it’s a bit “busy” and I hope you can read it. And for the handwriting experts out there, yes, I DO realize I write in upper case letters and I KNOW this is because I’m trying to disguise my “true” self from people. I know this, accept this and am okay with this. 😛

I won’t explain my thoughts about these topics, after all, I plan on writing full-fledged blog posts about these things, but this will give you a heads up on what to expect in the coming weeks:

What about you? Do you jot down blog topic ideas? If so, do you stick to your topics, or do you veer off into left-field and write about something totally different? If you don’t write down blog ideas, how do you write your posts? On the fly? In the spur of the moment?

Do tell! I’m curious to know!

  1. I start drafts of anything that I think I’m interested in writing, but I go in fits and starts. Either I write lots of posts at once, schedule them ahead, and/or have lots of things waiting in the wings, or I have little to say (or too little time), and I wing it whenever I have a bit of time. But I do keep little lists of ideas — usually on the computer, though, since that’s where I write. Good question, though. I’m curious to see what others say.

  2. I forget what happened yesterday, let alone what I WANT to talk about! 😀

I’m making a point now to carry a notepad around with me at all times. For example, today, I took the boys to get their haircut at a place, that is in essence, Hooters for Hair.

More on that one Friday …

  3. I write my blog ideas on anything! I have gotten home with scribbled napkins, notes on my palms, short ideas or paragraphs in the back of shopping receipts… anywhere I can set a pen!

Some other times however my brain is so full and busy it feels empty and numb! Does that make sense outside my head? At times like this I cross my fingers and hope a prompt from here (and a few other great sites) will get the noodle going!
    ;0)

  4. I DEFINITELY write down blog topics. I couldn’t remember what I want to write about any other way. I am currently writing 2 blogs and I am getting ready to start a 3rd so writing topic ideas down is the only way I know to make sure the right post gets in the right place.

For the most part, I stick to them. Sometimes, if I don’t write them soon enough, I don’t remember what or why I wanted to write about that. Those topics get scrapped.

    Thanks for sharing!
