THANK YOU to everyone who left a comment!

I have two “Unofficial Guides to Walt Disney World” books – one is a 2008 version and one is a 2009 version. The books are brand new save for a few pencil notes that I made. They are valued at $18.00 each.

I also have a Disney planning DVD to giveaway.

Why do I have these? We had talked about going on a Disney vacation for a few years now but in the end, I just couldn’t get my three guys interested enough to actually want to go so now I have guide books to a place we’ll never see. *sigh*

How to win:

1. Leave one comment per day, please – each comment counts toward one ticket.

2. Follow me on Twitter. Each Twitter subscription counts as one ticket. If you already follow me on Twitter (thank you!!), then please leave me a separate comment so I can add another ticket for you. If you just subscribed, please leave me a separate comment so I can add another ticket for you.

I’ll draw TWO winners at 5:00 p.m. U.S. central time Friday, February 13th. The first winner picked has first dibs on one guide book (either year – winner’s choice) AND the DVD, the second number will receive the book the first winner didn’t choose. The winners will be announced on my blog, as well as emailed.

I’m sorry, but this giveaway is only open to U.S. addresses at this time. International shipping just isn’t in the budget right now. 😦

  4. It has been a long time since we visited WDW. Looking forward to returning in 2010. This manual is a must have.

  5. We are planning a trip to Disney in Sept with our 6-year-old twins. It would be great to have this book!!

  6. These are great books. We’ll probably be going sometime this summer with 2 teenagers so they would come in handy.

  7. This would be great…we are going to Disney for the first time this April. This would be a big help

  8. These are great books to have when planning any kind of trip. I had borrowed from the library years ago 2003 and 2004 versions and they really have great info. Thanks for a chance to win these 🙂

  9. I am in the process of planning a trip there now and I love the unnofficial guide, its the best guidebook for Disney ever!

  10. We used an older one for our trip to Disney. We decided to go once when our kids were older and do it up right. Got the eight day, park hopper plus and stayed on site camping and got the meal plan.

This was an event. I came back every night totally exhausted and we had a blast. That book made all the difference. We did all our rushing around in the morning when we were fresh, loaded up on our fastpasses and used them at our leisure, and just had fun.

Planning and research made the difference here. I also felt sorry for all the folks with small kids. The parks were so crowded and the little ones just didn’t seem to enjoy that. We buzzed around them with our teens and did everything on our list.

The book is definitely worth it. So is waiting. If your kids are small, consider making the trip small with low expectations. Everyone will be happier. READ THE BOOK! ITS GREAT.

  11. Our family is planning to visit WDW in March 2010. We were there many years ago and our children had the times of their lives. Now going back with grand children. Understand this book is a must have.

  12. I love anything Disney and hope to be able to visit again sometime this year so would love some help in planning the perfect trip.

  13. I have this guide but it’s about 15 years old or more. I’d love to have an updated version. Thanks for the chance to win.

  14. We are going to Disney for our first family trip next year. I can’t wait. I’d love to win one of these prizes. Thanks for the chance.

  15. This would be great…we are going to Disney for the first time this April. The kids are so excited

  16. we really want to take a disney trip and i think if we won this book it would give us that extra push to go, thanks!

  17. We used the unofficial guide when we were at Disney for our honeymoon in 1993. It really was a useful book. I suggest you get one if you are going to Disney. We are planning to take our daughter on her first trip to Disney in October and another one of these books would be great to have.

  18. Tell your guys that mom gets to go where she wants this year and drag them all there. I can guarantee you that once they experience Disney, they’ll be begging to go back. There is plenty of guy stuff to do. I’m planning a trip in April with my guy, who only went the last time (which was our first time) “for me” but ended up being the one to say, “So, when are we going back?” when we got in the car to head home. It only took 30 years of marriage to get him there. Come on, keep talking to those guys of yours.

  19. Oh my gosh, I feel so sad for you trying to get a trip to WDW and failing with your loved ones. You never know, maybe someday you’ll get to go solo? I am addicted to all things Disney and, even though I doubt we’ll get to WDW anytime soon with the way our finances are going, I love living vicariously through the guidebooks.

  20. These books are a godsend. I bought one before our trip to WDW in 99 and learned alot. Would love to have an updated version for our next visit this year! Thanks.

  21. My all time favorite place-I have been going there since DW opened. Would love to win these books to help plan my next trip!

  22. We have used these before when we went to Disney World with the kids. They are the best books available to help you decide what to see when and what to avoid. We’re thinking of going again this summer so these would be a huge help.

    9.

  23. We are going to Disney in April. Would love ANY suggestions I can get. Our last trip to Disney did not work out so well so I am hoping we redeem ourselves this time!
