Vlogemotions: Sadness and Pride

This video carnival, aptly named Vlogemotions (get it? Video + blog + emotions = Vlogemotions) focuses on one specific emotion per week and is brought to you by Fort Thompson.

Here is my emotional contribution(s) for the week:

Vodpod videos no longer available.

UPDATE TO CLARIFY: I feel it’s necessary to expound on something I said in the video because there will be a few people in my life that will question my meaning. I said something along the lines of “this is the first time the boys have really had to deal with death,” or some such nonsense, and that’s not entirely true.

What I meant to say is that this is the first time they have understood what death really is and mature enough to process grief. They’ve had family members die, but they were too young to really know what was going on.

  1. Hello Karen:

very nice video just wanted to comment about death My father just died, last year and it was very hard to accept that I’ll never get to see him. I just wanted to explain to your husband my heart goes out to him even though I don’t know him. I will say a prayer to my heavenly Father to comfort your husband.

I just recently had a friend of mine tell me about your blog , She knows I like to write short stories there things that I make up in my head I have every intention to enter them into some of your contests just to see what people think about them along with a few summer/vacations along with trips to city parks and family outings..

Nice Blogs I visit them regularly..

  2. How great it was to see you again Karen.

Carey’s grandmother passed just yesterday and it was the first time we had to explain it to Taylor so I know how you feel. She knows that Granny is with Jesus now and is in a better place, but that doesnt make it any different in that we still had to explain it to her. She seemed to take it pretty good, and I hope your kiddos will as well.

Our prayers are with you husband and your family.

    Love and Prayers,

    Tim
