Brightly-Colored Ambitions

She regretted her decision as soon as she walked into the building.

Nearly everyone else was dressed in either navy or black.

Her multi-colored dress and gold shoes were visible from two blocks away.

She struggled to keep her body language from showing her inner turmoil.

Taking a breath, she sat down and pretended to check her phone for non-existent messages.

Sigh.

She wanted to stick out, and she was certainly drawing attention.

  1. Hmmm…wonder what job she was applying for! ha!

You’ll have to come and see the entire picture tomorrow. It will make you laugh, I think!

  2. She’d certainly stand out in those shoes! Maybe you can continue the story and tell about her new job?

  3. Nice job, Karen (And I like the new look of your blog!). Definitely need to stand out in the job market these days, but fashion (or lack thereof) might not be the way to do it! 😉

  4. I loved this. I agree you have to stand out nowadays if you want a job. I think her outfit will do it for her. Great job.
