Hello! My name is Karen and welcome! I’m a mom to two young men. I’ve been married to the same wonderful, patient, thoughtful and generous man (Kevin) for 36 years.
I used to work full time in a healthcare clinic (12 years in the clinic as an MA – 15 years total in healthcare in general) before moving to the precertification dept and work from home now – it’s my “day” job. I squeeze in family time and blogging in between all of that. (Okay, I really spend the majority of my “down” time watching gamers on Rumble or mindlessly scrolling through YouTube shorts).
We converted a cargo trailer into a camper and I guess we’re campers now! (Since going on cruises was put on hold because of the COVID crap).
I graduated from college with a B.S in Technical Writing – so I’m a wordy know-it-all, as well as a minor in creative writing – so don’t always believe what I write. *wink*
I believe in Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Writing Well. (I also believe in our Constitution – Don’t Tread on my Rights, Yo).
I can be snark-a-licious, but only when provoked or when confronted with ignorant, ill-informed knuckleheads.
I’ve been blogging (on and off, mostly off) for…. how many years…? (I’ve lost track, quite honestly).
I also have a lot to say about nothing.

Kids… anything to do with kids. Abuse mainly.. I wish I could stop it.

The environment. I worry about what the Earth will be like when my kids are grown.

Countries with a high prevalence of diseases that were long ago eradicated from western countries.
greed, fanaticism, intolerance and apathy
living on a marble full of idiots..wanting everything free..desperately wanting nuclear weapons, endlessly waring on others, trying to change what God has given us.. ie..freewill, thought, ,speech( not “free” universal health care), individualism. What global problem? Being led by mindless sheeple over the cliff of destiny with almost little to say about it!

There are many things that i care about so i will just list a few that come to mind right now….
Pollution – of the air, the water, the soil.
Natural resources running out, or being degraded.
The overwhelming power of multinational corporations over governments.
Nuclear weapons; the imminent danger of worldwide catastrophe.
Racism, sexism, hatred of homosexuals, anti-Semitism.
Rising expectations in third world countries and in the U.S. as television brings the American/European standards of living into the dwellings of peoples living on the very margins of existence. (this probably bothers me the most).
making the environment a healthier one.
Anything that has to do with mistreatment of other human beings.
