Hello! My name is Karen and welcome! I’m a mom to two young men. I’ve been married to the same wonderful, patient, thoughtful and generous man (Kevin) for 35 years.
I used to work full time in a healthcare clinic (12 years) before moving to the precertification dept and work from home now – it’s my “day” job. I squeeze in family time and blogging in between all of that. (Okay, I really spend the majority of my “down” time watching gamers on Rumble or searching writing-related content).
We converted a cargo trailer into a camper and I guess we’re campers now! (Since going on cruises was put on hold because of the COVID crap).
I graduated from college with a B.S in Technical Writing – so I’m a wordy know-it-all, as well as a minor in creative writing – so don’t always believe what I write. *wink*
I believe in Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Writing Well. (I also believe in our Constitution – Don’t Tread on my Rights, Yo).
I can be snark-a-licious, but only when provoked or when confronted with ignorant, ill-informed knuckleheads.
I’ve been blogging (on and off, mostly off) for…. how many years…? (I’ve lost track, quite honestly).
I also have a lot to say about nothing.
Brace yourself.
Funny! I was just talking to my husband the other night about each of us downloading messenger to our laptops so that we can talk. lol
LOL – too funny! And a bit too true… π
We so do this all the time! Technology seriously has made us lazy!
hehehe I have totally texted my husband while we were in the same room!!!!
hihihi, funny and sad in the same time π
Funny. π
My husband and I often work in the home office, each on his/ her computer. Sometimes I think it’s cute… sometimes I think it’s sad.
Too funny! DH works from home — has an office in the basement. We IM all the time instead of him coming upstairs! Ouch!
My wife and I share an office at our house, our chairs are back to back with each other. Mostly we only communicate via email or IM when we’re in the same room when one of us has a link to share with the other.
We also look over each others shoulders to see look at sites. When my wife is at her office away from home, we mostly communicate via IM.
However, usually, when she asks what I want for dinner, I tell her, “I don’t care, whatever you feel like” verbally.
LOL — communicating sure has changed.
I sent you an email, I don’t know if you got it — seems to be problems posting replies at BlogTalkers. I click on reply to message, type it up, then send/submit it but am thrown back to a white page with a message
“discarded” and my message never shows.
LOL
LOL.. Ok. I admitted that we used to do that. But we were in the different floor. So I guess that count for something right? π
π So true – it doesn’t happen often these days, cause we’d have to like push one of us off the computer so the other could type haha – but of course, when he’s at work, that’s like our main form of communication. π And communication is key, you know.
LOL yes my husband and I have done this. We have a computer upstairs that he sometimes uses and I use one in our living room so there have been times when I’ve called up – “hey I sent you and email!”. π
My favorite is when my husband uses our intercom phone to call me from a different room…
Sadly I will admit that I have done this. Mind you it is usually across the dining room into the living room. Sad, but often it is the best way to get each other’s attention.
Happy WW and thanks for stopping by my blog π
very cute. Sometimes it’s just easier to send a quick message, rather than get into a long debate. happy ww
