worried-fae I am in great shape.

Please don’t hate me.

The husband and GD’s birthdays are tomorrow – as in, on the same day (the stinker was impatient and couldn’t WAIT to be born – eight weeks early! Happy birthday, hubby!). As you can imagine, November 18th has worked out to be one of the busiest days of the year for me.

But no fear. I just finished my errands, made sure they both had something to open tomorrow, ordered their cookie cake (I think it’s going to be really cute this year), and we have plans to eat at Lambert’s for dinner tomorrow night.

I plan on picking GD up from school tomorrow and taking him out to lunch and the husband? Is scheduled to have a cavity drilled out (poor guy. *sad face*).

I was pretty stressed this morning, but now? Smooth as butta. Things are under control. Now if I could only focus on my NaNoWriMo project … it’s hard to be creative when all you want to do is PAR-TAY!

Conga line, everyone!

Twitter-esque: Ornament Exchange

1ornament Oh, one more thing. Did you know Kailani’s ornament exchange started? I think I might play along this year. I am playing along this year! I LOVE ornaments.

In fact, the boys and I (okay, me mostly) get a kick out of decorating our tree every year and then holding up special ornaments that I either bought when they were babies or they made in school.

It’s so FUN watching their faces flush with embarrassment whenever I make goo-goo noises at them and get all nostalgic on them. πŸ˜€

Anyone else joining in? Play! Maybe I’ll get your name!

The presidential election is coming up fast and it’s more important than ever to make sure you cast your vote. (That way, you can say, “I didn’t vote for him, don’t look at me!” *grin*)

Visit this site to make sure first, you’re registered to vote, and secondly, they have your information correct.

I just checked; I’m good to go. In fact, I think I might look into voting early to avoid the HUGE crowds anticipated November 4th.

Don’t be lazy, check your voting status. This is our country we’re talking about.

I went to the library book sale today and bought 13 books.

And that was just in the older section; I still need to go back tomorrow and browse the “better” book section. There is NOTHING quite like running your hand across stacks of smooth spines and smelling musty books.

I’m also thinking about buying Twilight by Stephenie Meyer even though I’ve never had any desire to read about vampires – let alone pubescent vampires.

Am I caving to blog-o-sphere peer pressure?

I think I’m pre-menopausal. I know. You probably don’t want to hear that. But my female regions are doing weird things – it’s like my period is a car with a faulty fuel filter (the jerky stop-and-go movements).

I’m having hot flashes. Like EMBARRASSING moments when I just start sweating, for no reason. This happened when we had our family pictures taken last week. I had to actually step away from the pose and fan myself – it was beyond humiliating.

This can’t be happening to me. Doesn’t menopause only happen to old women? I’m not old. There must be some mistake.

We’ve been having the boys clean up the kitchen every most nights. I know. You’re probably thinking, “They’re teenagers! It’s about damn time they pull their weight!”

This sounds good on the surface? But they’re boys. Which means a few swipes of the sponge and they are done. The dishes are still dirty. I have to wash them again in the morning because I never catch it at night (too brain dead).

I will inspect their work tonight. I will likely make them do it over again. It won’t be pretty.
