Most of us have digital cameras, so this usually isn’t a problem. But my aunt still has a manual Pentax, and at Christmas, the youngest of the great-grandchildren asked her to see the photos she took. It’s so funny how they don’t even understand what it’s like to have to wait and see the pics!

I started scanning in old pictures a couple of years ago…but then life took over. Last time I was back home in Turkey, I raided my grandma’s house and got a WHOLE bunch of old pictures, from my childhood, my mom’s childhood and even my grandma’s childhood (Well, she got married at 15 so no pictures before then…)

I have all of the digital pix on a flash drive and scattered all over the place. I love my mom’s teenage pix and how she looked when she was around 20…The innocence is beautiful.
